Seabourn Ovation’s February 15 Sailing Cancelled


Seabourn tells Luxury Travel Advisor is has cancelled the Seabourn Ovation cruise departing on Saturday, February 15.

“The decision comes out of an abundance of caution considering the highly dynamic and unpredictable changes we have seen the past couple of weeks in travel restrictions and port operations that could affect the cruise,” a spokesperson for Seabourn tells us. “While we expect things will stabilize, we never want to put our guests in the position of a having an experience that doesn’t live up to their expectations.”

Seabourn Ovation was resulting from depart Singapore on February 15, 2020 for a 14-day spherical journey cruise. Seabourn says it had no identified or suspected instances of coronavirus on board.

Affected friends will obtain a refund of the fare paid for the 14-day voyage. Because the cruises had been cancelled near the departure dates, friends may also obtain a future cruise credit score. Guests and journey advisors are being notified and people friends in Singapore will probably be hosted in native accommodations whereas they rebook their onward journey.

“While this decision will be disappointing for our guests, we feel they will understand the commitment to continue to work closely with the health authorities because we share a common goal of looking after the safety and well-being of our guests, crew and the places we visit,” the spokesperson says.

Seabourn will proceed to evaluate the scenario and can present an extra replace on future voyages in Asia as soon as it has extra info.
